Several posters specifically note that most of the heavier rain falls overnight, sparing daytime plans, and one eight-day trip logged just two 10-minute showers total. The consistent takeaway: the statistical chance of rain in February is genuinely high, but that doesn't mean a given trip actually gets rained out.

Regulars name a specific local wind, the Maramu, as the real trade-off of this drier season - less rain and humidity than the wetter months, but a real chance of the lagoon turning choppier than the postcard-still water many visitors expect, wind typically picking up more in the afternoon than the morning.
