Corfu in September keeps summer going — days near 25°C, the sea still very warm at about 26°C and often swimmable into late October — but the forum is clear that the pattern is starting to shift, and a storm becomes possible, especially towards the end of the month. Days stay sunny and warm with cooler evenings, and it is only right at the end of September into early October that daytime temperatures really begin to fall. Regulars call this potentially the very best month here, but the least predictable one too, capable of a warm, sunny stretch or genuinely cold, wet and windy days within the same visit - the island's western position facing wetter conditions than the Greek mainland's east side compounds that risk.
