Posters specifically noted Kalkan lacks its own weather station and has a real microclimate, so broader regional forecasts often don't match what actually happens on the ground - locals treat March-to-May forecasts as a rough guide at best.

Forum posters call September one of the best months to visit Kalkan - daytime temperatures in the high 20s to low 30sC, evenings staying warm enough for shirt sleeves without needing a jumper, at least through most of the month. By the very end of September into early October, posters note a rooftop restaurant dinner might start wanting a light layer as evenings cool slightly, but daytime conditions stay excellent. The clear draw beyond the weather itself: noticeably fewer crowds than peak summer, with several posters naming September as their personal favorite month to visit specifically for that combination of good weather and thinner crowds.
