  Thousands of northern elephant seals haul out on the beach at the south end of the coast road, pupping in January and moulting into spring. Free, unfenced and audible from the car park. 來源 ↗

  For a fortnight around the solstice the setting sun lines up through the arch at Pfeiffer Beach and lights the water inside it. The tiny car park fills by three and the unsigned road in is easy to drive past. 來源 ↗

  The southbound migration passes close inshore from mid-December, and the northbound mothers and calves hug the coast even closer from March. Any pull-out with a view will do.
