Major sights and most restaurants are open, though exact dates can shift around when Easter falls that year. Swimming is out - the sea's still too cold - and several posters suggest leaning toward the back half of March over the front half if the dates are flexible.

Regulars are specific this month splits sharply in two, early October still warm enough for swimming while late October brings meaningfully colder conditions and a real chance of the cold northerly bura wind kicking up, swimming largely off the table by then. June on this coast is hot without being stifling the way July and August are, and regulars put the beautiful stretch from about mid-month.
