Korčula's forum calls July good swimming weather but the busiest stretch of the year — several regulars suggest September instead for a quieter island that's still warm enough to swim and sit out in the evening. Worth weighing if crowds matter more to you than guaranteed heat.

Regulars are specific this month splits sharply in two, early October still warm enough for swimming while late October brings meaningfully colder conditions and a real chance of the cold northerly bura wind kicking up, swimming largely off the table by then.
