Het weer in Soufrière in februari

February is the middle of St Lucia's dry season - February, March and April are the driest - and the forum's description is mid to low 80s F by day, high 70s at night, a decent breeze, lower humidity, and rain that comes as a passing shower or the occasional cloudburst rather than a wet day. Our row has exactly that shape: 11.2 precipitation days carrying only 27.9mm between them. The wind is the season's other feature, with the east trades running hard through January and February - 25.4 kph here - which is what keeps the heat comfortable and, depending which coast you are on, occasionally puts red flags on the beach. The record: 28.6C days that feel like 30C, 22.5C nights, 10.7 hours of sun and a 26.4C sea.

St. Lucia's forum is upfront that September sits at the heart of hurricane season, though posters noted the island's position on the belt's southern edge means it's rarely directly affected. Around Soufrière specifically, rainforest storms can turn genuinely intense but blow through fast, often leaving a rainbow behind - hot, humid, sunny and breezy is the day-to-day baseline. One early-September visitor described surprisingly manageable heat with mostly sunny days and just a little rain, and several posters pointed to reduced rates and thinner crowds as the real upside of visiting this time of year.

Forum posters describe March as beautiful and squarely in the dry season - hot, sunny, clear blue skies with balmy trade winds and calm seas, one of the drier months of the year overall. Posters are careful to note this doesn't mean rain-free: Soufriere specifically is called out as wetter than the north of the island, a real local microclimate effect from its position near the Pitons, so an occasional heavy shower remains possible even in the generally dry March window. One visitor who spent three weeks in the area during February-March described wonderful weather overall, with only a handful of heavy showers across the whole stay.
