Sousse's own forum doesn't sugarcoat January: it's genuinely changeable winter weather, with a warm window roughly late morning to early afternoon when the sun is out, followed by a sharp drop as soon as it sets - dusk arrives by 5:30pm and temperatures fall quickly after. Posters recommended packing both a light fleece and a proper raincoat for the odd shower, though January is actually one of Sousse's drier months overall - a run of clear, dry days is more typical than a rainy stretch. It's not a beach-weather month, but midday sun on a clear day is still genuinely warm and worth planning around.
