Forum posters describe northern Morocco, Tangier included, as starting to turn cold and possibly rainy by November, with posters flagging November as historically the wettest month of the year for the country overall. Posters are direct that Morocco's size and geographic diversity mean November weather varies enormously by region - the same month can bring nice sunny days, snow storms, and stretches of solid rain depending on exactly where you are. Posters consistently recommend the deep south, around Marrakech and beyond, for the best chance of warmth in November, implicitly framing Tangier and the north as the cooler, wetter end of that range. Posters generally recommend planning for cooler, rain-capable conditions and packing accordingly for a November visit to Tangier specifically.
May is the forum's recommended month for northern Morocco, and Tangier is specifically what they suggest when someone wants to dodge the heat building inland — Fes can already be hot by late May while the north stays milder. Tangier itself runs near 24°C by day and 15 overnight, with rain down to under four days and the countryside still green with spring flowers. Two honest notes: May can still turn rainy, and one traveller's late-May 2025 report describes an early heatwave running hot and dry for a fortnight. The sea is still cool, around 18°C.
