Forum posters don't undersell it: July averages around 30C but regularly climbs past 35C, described in escalating terms as hot, really hot, and 'possibly stifling' on the worst days - even locals admit the July-August stretch is a lot to handle. The beaches themselves get consistent praise - sandy, not rocky, with warm, swimmable Mediterranean water - and strong suncream is treated as essential given how intense the sun gets.
