Forum regulars describe February as one of the better months to visit, falling in the relatively dry stretch that runs November through February, with typical highs cited around 16C. But everyone stresses it's the wind, not the cold, that defines the experience - it can blow in straight from Antarctica and change conditions fast, so good windproof layers matter more than raw warmth. The overall pattern posters describe is 'four seasons in a day': it might be calm and sunny, then rain, then blow hard, all within a few hours - and to wear sun cream regardless, since the sun can still burn when it's out.
