Regulars hoping for 24 or 25C by mid-June get told the sea will not be what it is in September - our row says 24.1C against a 31.1C day reading as 35C. Their fix is local. The south side of the Cukurbag peninsula has warm water, and Limanagzi, a short boat ride across, is warm too, because neither is in the springs' path. Patara and Kaputas are the beautiful ones and the cold ones. The record: 23C nights, 3.8 precipitation days carrying 14.6mm and 13.6 hours of sun.

Ölüdeniz's forum is consistent that March is a genuinely mixed month - cool temperatures, a real chance of rain, and evenings that turn properly cold once the sun's down. Multiple posters specifically said not to expect hot weather or swimmable water this early, recommending cardigans and layers over summer clothes. The lagoon and green mountains are still described as beautiful this time of year, just approached as a scenic off-season visit rather than a beach holiday.

Forum posters call September close to perfect - hot days in the mid-30sC without feeling stuffy, sea water warm from a full season of sun, and evenings mild enough for shorts and a t-shirt even after dark (nearby Hisaronu runs a bit cooler at night). Late September/early October gets specifically recommended as quieter than the July/August peak while bars, restaurants and tours mostly stay open through the end of October, partly thanks to UK school half-term travel and the paragliding championships. Paragliding itself is the headline activity, with posters consistently rating Oludeniz among the best spots in the world for it and the coastal views from the air as the trip's highlight. Conditions do turn more unpredictable moving into October, with posters describing dramatic (if impressive) thunderstorms as that transition happens.
