Forum posters describe early April as a genuinely good time to visit - pleasant spring weather without the worst crowds, with conditions compared by one poster to a late Brisbane autumn. Kagoshima and nearby Fukuoka are specifically named among the warmer regions of Japan where cherry blossoms can still be seen into early April, later than in cooler parts of the country.
