We walked along Boulevard Bernardo Quintana right around sunset and the stone arches of the Acueducto, all 74 of them stretching over a kilometer, caught the light exactly the way every blog had promised. The Mirador de los Arcos terrace gave us the single best framed view of the whole structure, and unlike most of the city's landmarks it costs nothing and needs no ticket or guide. We took a slow stroll down Calzada de los Arcos to get right underneath the arches the next morning, a completely different perspective than the wide shot from the plaza at the northern end where all the arches line up together.
